his name is broni friendzoni (it’s italian)
omfg broni friendzoni
I legitimately laughed at this for like ten minutes before hitting reblog
BRONI FRIENDZONI
HA. This. <3
this guy fucking gets it
i had to try and explain that to a guy for about one hour the other day and he still thought misandry is a real thing. Ugh.
I’m trying really hard not to pat this guy on the back because you know I hate to give credit to men for not being shitty like it’s some kind of fucking achievement to be a decent human being or whatever.
But actually I want to throw my arms around this man’s neck and never, ever let go. Bless this video. Bless it so fucking much.
this man is wonderful and I wish I knew him.
at monash university in melbourne the women’s department had a bake sale and cupcakes were one dollar for men and eighty cents for women and seventy cents for trans* people to represent the wage gap and heaps of guys kicked off about it being sexist and that’s how i finally understood how hypocritical and ignorant men’s rights activism is
to be fair that is pretty darn sexist… why cant stuff just be EQUAL for everyone?
I believe that there are a small group of women who hate men just for being men. I believe that the textbook definition of the word misandry fits that description. I believe there are bad things that happen to men. I believe those issues should be addressed. I do not believe that a fringe group of women who hate men can be blamed for those issues.
Misandry was a dead word until recently. A group of men who feared the progress of feminism revived the word and used it to undercut the movement. They like having the power being a man provides and they don’t want to lose that. So they created a movement, found a bunch of legitimate issues that affect men, and tried to blame women for those issues. They called this misandry. It’s like conservatives using buzzwords like “death panels” to make people fear health care. They let people assume it meant Obama wanted to kill your grandma. They let their cute little phrase infect the minds of good people and convince them of falsehoods.
People are telling me that men cannot report rape without getting laughed at. They say this is misandry. It is the fault of women who hate men. But that just doesn’t make any sense to me. When I seek a logical explanation, it seems more likely that this is because men are supposed to be strong and women are supposed to be weak. And rape has been viewed as something that happens mostly to women. So if it does happen to a man, they must be weak. How did this idea of men=strong and women=weak start? I’m pretty sure it wasn’t because of misandry. It is an ancient patriarchy collapsing in on itself.
Feminism is about fighting inequality. It’s about erasing the strong/weak perception ingrained into our society. Misandry, as the term is often used today, is about trying to blame women for anything bad that happens to men.
If you want to fight to fix issues that affect men, go for it. But I would really consider distancing yourself from this term. It is used to evangelize folks into a movement that is very problematic. A group that can’t handle scrutiny of their comic books and video games, so they send death and rape threats. A group that calls women sluts and think they ask for rape if they show too much cleavage. Those are the people who coined this term, and you should want nothing to do with them or their language.
Every fucking day I love you more, Frogman.
All I want is an episode of My Little Pony where the antagonist is male pony with a fedora cutie mark who goes around harassing everyone for pursuing their own interests instead of dating him and then the mane 6 use the elements of harmony to banish him to an actual place called the friendzone and where he is kept prisoner until he learns to appreciate having girls as friends and see them as actual people.
PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE
Men’s Rights Activism is nothing more than a politically acceptable method of being misogynistic and enacting violence against women.
You have turned sexism and violence against women into a political movement.
I hope you’re fucking happy with yourselves
“If I hit men, I should be allowed to hit women! Otherwise that’s sexism!” - MRA’s biggest argument for being anti-feminist
Wow, you’re so incredibly wrong. Not once has an MRA advocated for the right to hit women without provocation. However, we do think that if a woman assaults a man—WHICH HAPPENS A LOT http://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/pdf/nisvs_report2010-a.pdf— then a man should have the right to defend himself—i.e. fight back—since men can’t do that right now without automatically being booked by the police for violence against a woman, because apparently violence against a woman is so much worse than violence against anyone else.
Furthermore, sexism movements like VAWA have made it so that a man can’t even find a domestic abuse shelter solely for men, nor can he call the police without being arrested himself, because the police ALWAYS under VAWA arrest the man as he is the assumed aggressor.
You’re both ignorant bigots. If you’re going to fucking criticize the MRM then you better start reading up on MRM literature, because otherwise you’re just going to continue looking like the ignorant fuckhats that you already are.
Men’s rights aren’t anti-women. Ask any MRA and you’ll find that they’d love to have a civil discussion with some feminists to help each other, as this constant hostility is not only stupid, but unproductive. You’re not helping by ignorantly saying that the MRAs are a hate-group. Asking for equality isn’t being fucking hateful, unless your a stupid, bigoted feminist (like you two clearly are).
Have a wonderful day, you pieces of filth.

“Please, refrain from using screaming profanitiy and personal annecdote as your argument; feel free to use profanity, but follow it up with some substance”
^ Hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa omg. Your blog description is perfect. Never change~ (or rather, please do)
I just am truly stunned by your magnificence. “Asking for equality isn’t hateful, you stupid, bigoted feminist”. Yeah, you sound really loving and open. Probably feminists are the ones responsible for this “constant hostility”. I see your point.
Your verbal-attacks are really doing an A+ job of showing that you are not a violent movement. Thank god you helped dispel that rumour.
Maybe since I’m so ignorant, I misunderstood all the MRA on my blog sending me rape threats. Really they just wanted a “civil discussion”. Silly me. Why can’t I see through the “you’re ugly”, “you’re going to get raped” and “you’re a stupid whore” messages and just appreciate how victimised these boys are?
I’m just so ignorant. I mean, that paper I took dedicated to men’s issues clearly wasn’t enough. Thank you for helping me see the light, O-Great-Creature-Of-Unquestionable-Virtue. I should clearly invest thousands more dollars into this cause. I’m sure you’ve done the same.
My favourite thing about MRA blogs is that they never have any information about themselves more than their first name, they have to be anonymous because even they don’t want to be held accountable irl for their opinions.
And yo I’m not from the U.S. I don’t know enough about your legal justice system to bother reading or disputing any of your points. Because, y’know, I have my own country’s laws to care about.
So you can go ahead and get off my proverbial dick. (◡‿◡✿)

A quick editorial cartoon about the intersection of self-pity, entitlement, rape, territoriality, misogyny and fear of women. You see it all over the place online in the form of Men’s Rights Activists (of whom there are a few reasonable non-misogynists), Men Going Their Own Way, Pick Up Artists, and dudes touting the “Red Pill”, because The Matrix is a good movie. Look any of these up if you have the stomach for it. These are extreme examples, but watered-down forms of these ideas are everywhere.
In lurking their blogs and youtube channels for a while, I’ve noticed that beyond the standard patriarchal chauvinism there is this deep fear of women - what they will do to me, how they will reject me, how they will use me, how they are changing society in a way that does not favor me, how they are making men into something I don’t like, how they are making themselves into something I don’t like, that they won’t give me what I want, and that they won’t give me what I think is rightfully mine. This goes beyond fear of feminism- this is fear of women at its purest. And that, to quote a puppet, leads to anger and hate. It’s sad.
I am a feminist. I think there’s enough ice cream to go around, but it does mean those of us with 3 scoops might have to give one or two up. Also, The Matrix is a fun movie but probably not anything you should be basing a philosophy on.
Sharing this again for the ‘Read More’ at the bottom - the creator of the video answers an MRA anon who pulls the whole “but men are oppressed too” thing. The artist’s reply is a really great summary of how patriarchy and gender expectations hurt both women and men, but that the MRM is going about tackling these issues in all the wrong ways (i.e. being antagonistic towards women in general, for one).
TW: RAPE
This picture is so disgusting! this is some rape apologist bullshit. All it is doing is feeding into this dangerous notion that rape isnt a serious issue. Its implying that it is poor decision making on the girl’s part or that she was asking for it by either being too drunk at the party or by what she was wearing. It says “Don’t be THAT girl” what type of girl exactly? The type of girl who speaks out against rape? The type of girl that will get shut down by people and say that it was her fault or that she is making a big deal out of it? Honestly, there are way too many dudes who are willing to jump on this and like this sort of message and that really shows society’s stance on rape. All this picture does is undermine the seriousness of rape. All society and the media are concerned about is the reputation of the rapists instead of the wellbeing of the victims. Fuck this patriarchy, fuck these rape apologists, and more importantly, fuck this website. It has got to be the most disgusting, most repulsing, most revolting thing ive ever had the displeasure of coming across. I am honestly too angry to even put into words what i am thinking ugh .
It started as a tweet, and it became an infographic.
before ya’ll go talking about “misandry,” lemme explain you a thing
Also, for further information, Manboobz is an excellent resource. Go there. It’s awesome.
And no ice cream for the MRA’s bye

Watch the video! And if you want to know what the ‘Red Pill’ was referring to, check out this hilarious link on ‘Men Going Their Own Way’.
Men, are you worried for your own safety because misandry?
You need to accept that misandry happens in the real world and take some precautions.
Take a self defense class, they’re only a couple hundred dollars a month.
Don’t go out after dark unless you have a woman to chaperone you.Misandrists are less likely to attack if they see you are with another woman.
Don’t wear anything too douchey. If you’re wearing a fedora or a sexist t-shirt, etc. you’re pretty much asking to get attacked. Misandrists can’t control themselves when they see a man in a fedora, their instincts kick in and before they know it they have a dead male corpse in their hands. Just be a good boy and don’t tempt them, okay?
Don’t ever invite a woman into your home. Misandrists will interpret this as you consenting to physical violence.
Drinking increases your risk of being attacked by a misandrist. They target drunk men because their inhibitions are lowered.
Never leave your drink unattended. Misandrists are notorious for poisoning men at parties and bars.
If a misandrist does attack you, be quiet and just let her finish or you might anger her further and you are liable to get murdered instead of just mutilated. But also, be sure to put up a good fight because a lot of men say they don’t want to be attacked by misandrists but deep down, they really like it.
And remember, accusing a woman of abusive misandry is worse than being abused by a misandrist. So before you make accusations, make sure it wasn’t all just a silly misunderstanding.
