I really loathe that people have this idea that there’s something inherently wrong, unintelligent, or unethical about profanity.
While I can agree that there are inappropriate settings for profanity, (ie- “We fucking gather here today…”) I don’t think that there’s anything “unladylike” (whatever the fuck that’s supposed to mean) or not classy (whatever the fuck that’s supposed to mean) about cursing.
Nor does my preference for the word fuck correlate to an inadequate vocabulary.

“We fucking gather here today…” - winning

I swear when I feel very passionate and strongly about something (e.g. telling pro-lifers that they are fuckwits). It doesn’t mean I am unintelligent or have a limited vocabulary, I just want to get my point across over the internet, as you can’t hear my tone of voice or see my facial expression.

I don’t know Brendan’s age or background.  I really hope he was making a sarcastic post and secretly mocking the Ark story.  However, when you take your children to places like the Creation Museum, raise them to believe that the Bible is true, and indoctrinate the hell out of them, THIS is what you get; so Brendan could seriously believe this.

I remember having to color pages in Sunday School at around age 5 or 6 and never quite getting how all the animals in the world fit in the Ark.  However, since all pictures geared towards kids related to the ark story seem to have the same animals, I just assumed that back then those 10 or so pictured were all the animals in the world.  It satisfied my 5 year old mind and I could have easily expanded that logic out to something like the explanation above if I had not matured intellectually.

Brendan’s explanation is funny, but it’s also very, very sad.
